It’s a month away, but Family Day 2013 will be here before you know it! What is Family Day? It’s a statuatory holiday in the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and as of this year, British Columbia. Depending on the province, it is celebrated on either the 2nd or 3rd Monday of February. Unfortunately, for the residents of the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec & the Territories, Family Day is just another work day, as those provinces do not recognize this holiday.
For those of you lucky enough to get a holiday on Family Day, what are your plans? What fun things would you like to do with your kids? After all, that’s what this holiday is all about…spending time with FAMILY.
If you are looking for things to do on Family Day 2013, check your local city/town website to see what activities may be planned. Free activities (or discounted attraction prices) for the family can be found in abundance on Family Day. Here are just a few that I have come across while searching the internet. If you know of any others, please share them with us by commenting in this blog.
